Police have warned residents of Farmers Branch to be alert for scammers going to door-to-door, offering to exterminate squirrels from residents’ attics. The scam is that dead squirrels are brought with the “exterminators” and then shown as proof that they “fixed” the problem – and for only $200 or so!

While there are many legitimate, hard working small business owners, we encourage everyone to be vigilant when it comes to someone knocking on your door. If you have a shred of doubt that you should continue the conversation, or move forward with their service(s), please don’t.
Legitimate business owners are happy to answer your questions, provide a phone number, offer references, and even give you a little breathing space to make a decision. And beware of contractors who demand they be paid in full up-front for their services.
