Motorcycle Officers

On Tuesday, a North Richland Hills motorcycle officer was injured when a car hit him.

Officer Rodney McCrory, who has 20 years of experience on the motorcycle patrol, was turning into a parking lot when a car struck the left rear side of his bike.

He was taken to a local hospital, and amazingly, treated and released. The driver of the car was issued a citation for failing to yield the right of way, and no further charges are expected. We don’t see many cases where a motorcycle rider is “treated and released” after an accident, so we’re thankful that Officer McCrory is recovering.
