Sarah Cummins and Logan Araujo decided to cancel their wedding a week prior to the event. They had a non-refundable contract with the Ritz Charles in Carmel, Indiana, a dream location to host their wedding reception and a plated dinner for 170 guests.
Rather than have the food thrown out, Miss Cummins contacted local homeless shelters and offered an invitation to dinner. Local businesses and residents in the northern suburb of Indianapolis donated suits, sports coats, dresses and other necessary items for the guests to wear.
Miss Cummings was there to greet and welcome her guests. Charlie Allen, one of the attendees, was grateful. He told the Indianapolis Star, “For a lot of us, this is a good time to show us what we can have. Or remind us what we had.”
There was no mention why the wedding was canceled, but whoever snags Miss Cummins will certainly have a kind, classy woman in their life.
